This trail breaks off of the west trail at the 1.5 mile mark and heads south.
Without a machete you're out of luck. The brushed swallowed me up as I made my way through. The view is vertigo inducing at about 600ft, the cliff is shear. There was a nice grass clearing to sit on with wildflowers, I could have spent the day there but, alas, I had to move on.
